Wooohooo, another Wally World Walker coming up!
Okay. I have had my CCW permit for a couple months but have only been carrying since I bought my firearm about a week and a half ago. I have been to Walmart a couple times but don't understand the significance of the "Wally World Walk". Anyone care to explain????

The way I've heard it is that the significance of making Wally World one of the first place you visit while carrying is because it's one of the most crowded places to you can carry in. This will test your ability to remain calm and not freak out that someone will see your weapon and at the same time you'll realize that the sheep is totally oblivious to their surroundings. At least I think this is what it is about. :D

How do you know when it was processed, and that it's in the mail?

My check cleared Nov 10th.
It looks like the average (if there are no problems) is that licenses are issuing about 60 days after the check clears your bank. My check cleared about the same time yours did and I'm determined NOT to call to inquire about it. I figure every minute they spend answering questions is one less minute they spend processing applications.

How long after mailing is it taking for your check's to clear?? I sent a USPS money order, just to try and simplify the payment part. But I dont know when/if it's cleared yet.. Anyone know if there's a way to tell if a postal MO has cleared or not? Seems like it can be checked, but costs a fee? Not sure...

It varies. could be a week or 2 or a month or so.

I started to check my bank online. 9 days so far. Ill check again Wed, then Mon. The average I have seen is 10-14 business days, but it all depends on the volume of apps and the man power at the Dept of Arg. The holidays are going to slow things down a bit also...

Still hasn't made it to me yet... maybe today. With the holidays plus my forwarding address I'm still waiting on my permit. I'm guessing there was a delay between the license being issued and actually put in the mail.

The wait is almost over....

84 days of torture I endured. :) Did the Home Depot Walk instead of the Wally World. Went and shipped a box at the UPS store, and walked across the street to chat with some neighbors and all the time was wondering if I was "printing" It's a great feeling knowing that you have the ability to increase your odds of survival and being able to hopefully protect your family. The wait was worth every minute of it. I haven't really had the gun off my person since my permit arrived. I sit with it while watching TV, as I type this and wear it just moving around the house. It's really pretty comfortable. I feel it, I know it's there, but the occasional discomfort of a poke or pinch of the holster against my skin is more of a pleasant reminder than a nuisance.

I am carrying in a IWB High Noon holster. I waited until the permit arrived before ordering my holster. The guy at High Noon was awesome, the shipping was fast (1 day) as they are in Florida as well. I went with a basic lower cost holster just to get used to it. The fit and finish and the reverse J clip was was well worth the 34.00. Having worn it for three days now I can really appreciate how the reverse J clip works to keep the holster in place.

Good luck and hang in there it will be well worth the wait.

Im sure it'll be there soon JB!! I've still not got up the nerve to even call and see if Im in the system yet.. Mailed my app on Nov. 10th.. Im "hoping" to get my license around Feb 10th.. But with the holidays and all, something tells me 90 days may be a little overly optimistic.. Especially after seeing the numbers of apps they've had the last couple months.. I read where it's gone from like 25,000 apps a month to like 45,000 in Nov and Dec?? Guess on the bright side, at least more folks are stepping up and participating/exercising some of their 2nd ammendment rights!! That can't be a bad thing!! :)

Just did my walk the other day and it is amazing how many sheeple are out there and oblivious to to the fact you are carrying up to three pounds of weapon and ammo. It definitely helped my confidence. :dancingbanana

I'm still waiting... the first mailing seems to have gotten lost in the mail. Called a couple weeks ago and they reprinted and mailed it. Told me 7-10 business days from Jan 23. Should show this week.

Man this is frustrating

Just got off the phone with the Agency this morning. Turns out that a Concealed Weapons Permit WILL NOT be forwarded to a new address even if you have forwarding set up with the postal service. My license had been returned to them as undeliverable. I had to fax them a letter saying I moved after I mailed in my application and to please mail it to my new address.

So hopefully a week or so now.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
