I just made my second call to DOACS. After a 20 minute wait finally got through. The rep first checked and said still going to be a couple of weeks, then I said that some people have received their license after I had sent mine.I am at day 95 from mailing. She started to check...I heard her pounding the keyboard for awhile, and said that she issued and I should be receiving my license in the next 2 weeks! It was really nice to hear that...finally! :dancingbanana

Grats!!! Mine was issued today as well....got my license number from her to!! Lets see who's gets here first lol!

good news
but remember, now's the most likely time for someone to rip off the contents of your mailbox, until that license arrives. i recommend cctv surveilance, and monitor the mail lady closely (like a hawk).

at least thats what i did

Now would be a good time to check with your insurance agent and make sure your mailbox has hurricane coverage. At the rate the mailings are going it could be in season!:rolf

Your experience sounds a lot like mine though I called sooner and got it issued on the phone - 92 days mailbox to mailbox.

I called on day 87 and got the usual line...got to wait a couple of more weeks. She would not let me talk to a supervisor. I figured I would wait a week and give it another try. I really thought I was going to get shot down again, but I gues I got lucky. I think when I told her about people getting issued after I had sent mine in, got her to look a little more into it. Hey...it worked for me. Now I just have to wait it out a little more!!

congrats Jim....if i remember right you sent yours in on Jan 23rd. I sent mine in that day also, so I am going to call tomorrow and tell them peoples have been issued who sent them in after mine and see if I can get mine issued as well. Hopefully it will work. A buddy of mine sent his in a week after mine and he called and they said his was issued and printed already.
Did you ask for a supervisor when you called? Should I ask for a supervisor or will the person who answers the phone do this for me??

The rep took care of me...I was going to ask for a supervisor if I had no luck.See what the rep can do, then ask for a sup. Good luck!

And hesevil.....the first time I called she was adament of not passing me to a sup....maybe she was having a bad day, I was going to call in a week after my 90 anyway

I called today and the lady said they are on January's now and mine has not been looked at yet. I told her that other people who sent theirs in after mine have gotten them issued already and she told me that she doesnt know how thats possible. She would not send me through to a supervisor. I had my friend call who sent his in after mine and they said his was printed on April 23rd. He asked to speak with a supervisor just to make sure and they sent him through. When the supervisor (if she really was) got on the phone she confirmed his was printed. Then he gave the phone to me to check on mine (i hoped she could issue mine over the phone like you all said yours was) she typed in my ss# and then put me on hold right away. Then a guy answerd and I told him I was talking with a supervisor and he typed in my ss# and told me the same thing the lady did before. I guess she did not want to deal with me.

They told me noone can issue a license over the phone so I guess they are lying. As to my friends being issued before mine they said his must be in a faster line. The guy told me to be patient and it could be any day now that they get to my application. So I guess i am just gonna wait and wait cause my attempts have failed to speed up the process.

I hear your pain....I would make another call...maybe this friday or early next week. When I called last week, they said they were into the middle of Jan apps, so they "should" be looking at the last week of Jan by now. You probably got the same rep I had a week ago....

Email confirm

I sent a email on April 19 inquiring about my license, today I received a confirmation that it was issued on 4/28. I know it was issued, just nice to see that they are responding to emails, even if it took 11 days. Also good to see it was verified and confirmed.

License received today! 105 days. Well worth the wait, for those folks waiting...be patient{yeah I know, easy for me to say now

} it will come. And to all those who helped us get through this journey...thanks for the support, it made the wait a learning experience and fun.
