I called on Thursday for the first time and checked on the status of my application and after being on hold or more than 15 minutes got through to a not so nice lady who told me my app was received but that's it. I didn't really believe her so I tried emailing them and still haven't gotten a reply.

Today however I emailed Ms. Sweet using the address on another post. Seven minutes later I got a reply saying that their records show I was issued 05/18/09 and if I don't receive it in 10-14 business days to call them.

Now the long wait for the actual plastic

It only tool me 7 days after the issue date. Won't be long for you.

I got the same response today. I hope it isn't a bunch of bull or an automated phony baloney response. I'll be checking my mailbox

I thought the same thing. I was thinking of maybe calling again and see what kind of status THAT person gives me just to be sure. Don't really wanna wait on hold or bug the people there anymore than I have to though. I will probaly just wait it out. If it turns out to be true this Marla Sweet lady is the best! :clap

I would not bother calling if Marla Sweet emailed you. My buddy got the same email from her and 6 days later had his license.

Congratulations!
I am 125 plus days and counting. I've had my tent set up by the mailbox for a while. It's starting to fade.
The good news, I too should be receiving my license within ten to fourteen days also.

I'm starting to get suspicious of this Marla Sweet. There are a few post here that have said they got the same reply that I did. My app was received March 9th and people in the begining of Febuary just now getting issued. I don't know I just hold we aren't getting a canned response to shut us up. Just wondering if anyone else emailed Ms. Sweet and received a response other than "was issued on today"? Maybe she issues it when she checks the status? That's the only thing I can think of.

I agree. The e-mail response comes up as a " form e-mail " The issue date always appears to be the date you inquire or at the latest the next day. Has anyone in the forum sent an e-mail to Ms. Sweet and gotten a different i.e. response that your application is under review etc? I guess I shouldn't be so mistrusting ,but I have had a lot of bad experiences as Government/DOD contractor with canned responses from people in administrative positions. In any event, I have lived for 63 years without a CWL I can wait a little longer.

I emailed her as well about my status. Turns out I need to get a second set of prints and that I should receive the letter and fingerprint card in 7-10 days..ugh. In any case, Marla at first told me they could not see my application in the system and that I had to fax them a copy of the cashed check which was from March. I got no prior indication my prints were even rejected. If i didn't email her I don't know when I would have been notified.

In any case, I emailed her attached copies of the cashed check and she eventually got back to me the same day and told me my application was "found" and it was complete except for the prints which needed to be redone.

So the form response seems to be different in my case but I remember someone else had posted a very similar situation as mine...that they had no idea they needed another print, until they kept checking/calling and that their app was also "not" in the system and then it suddenly was when the 2nd prints needed to be redone...

so once again off to the PD for prints...

NOT FEBRUARY. I sent mine to the state January 14th. I'm still waiting.

I think the only way to know for sure will be if one of those that got her response that it was issued call them and see why that representitve says about the status. I will try to do that tomorrow if get time I am very busy with work at the moment to wait on hold for half an hour. I tried calling earlier today and waited on hold for 15 minutes but gave up and has to go back to work. We shall see. *crosses fingers*

I e-mailed Ms Sweet tonight. I'll let you know if I get a response. My application was mailed March 2nd, check cleared April 9th.

Your processing timeline seems very very good based on some of the historical examples that we've seen and are tracking. I'm happy for you, astonished and skeptical. Why out of the blue do you think you are falling in to the < 90 day timeline?

Got a response back (below) this morning from Ms Sweet....time will tell.

Our records indicate your license was issued 5/20/09. If you are not in receipt of this license within 10-14 business days of the issuance date, please contact us at 850/245-5691. A Customer Service Representative will be happy to assist you.

need to see if someone who just sent there app in within the last month can send an email. wonder if the response they get will be the same. It almost seems automated to please people.

I still have not heard back from the email sent on Sunday. I did send another today, see what happens

Well ladies and gentlemen I called today and just simply checked the status without mentioning the email I received and was told it was in fact issued on May 18th and to give it 2 weeks to arrive. So either they have sped up their process or Ms.Sweet has a way of expediting the process or something. :clap

App received by DOA on March 9th
License issued on May 18th
