I'm confused. Will somebody please explain this president to me? Is he the new Neville Chamberlain or the new Adolph Hitler? Or is he some new kind of monster bound and determined to have the people of the US on their knees? :aargI've always been a middle of the road type person, never was too concerned about our leaders, but folks I'm getting truly scared:eek:...Of course that's just my humble opinion.

Don't hold back guys. Tell us what you really think! :rolf
OK .... :D

(( A photo of Barack Obama coming back from a Middle East " Apology " tour ))

" My fellow Americans, for the first time in our history, an American President has returned from the Arab World bringing peace with honor.

I believe it is "peace for our time."

Go home and get a nice quiet sleep ... you have nothing to worry about for I, Barack Obama the " Chosen One " will take care of you!

Also, you can all go and turn in your guns, because you aren't going to need them anymore, because I,
Barack Obama the " Chosen One " will take care or you. " ( under his breath - Oh yeah, I'll take care of you alright ... )

The most insidious thing about all this, is that most people do not know this fact:

A treaty rises to the same level as the CONSTITUTION, in our legal system... so ANY gun control treaty passed WOULD be able to take away our 2nd Amendment... or ANY OTHER of our cherished Rights from the Bill Of Rights!!!!

It is almost impossible to exaggerate the seriousness of this kind of thing...

Please, Counsellor Buckley(for those who don't know him, he is a practicing attorney admitted to the Florida Bar), confirm if I am right about this.. ie, that legally a signed treaty ratified by the Senate has the same weight as the Constitution:eek:

Xbonz, if you're just now getting scared you're at least a year behind the curve. :D Hurry up and catch up, the rest of us want to go have a few :drinks. We'll see you there! :thumsup

Seriously though, I believe this has been rejected once before by Congress. With the new Demokratik Order in power now, who knows? Write those letters! I did.

Sorry but its out there and George Soros' gang and the UN are pushing it. With an Obama Democratic Congress you are fooling yourself if you think it is a dead issue. Obama and many liberal Democrats want guns gone period. This method of removing them allows them to muddy the waters with an international view. Last time I looked the two world wars started in Europe, maybe because they don't have a " Bill of Rights " and a Constitution. As corny as it may sound " The price of freedom is external vigilance"

Senator Nelson Replies

Dear Mr. S:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your concerns about gun control. I support the constitutional right to bear arms. I grew up on a ranch in the Florida countryside and have been a hunter since I was a boy.

I also support efforts to reduce gun violence and promote firearms safety. We should close the gun show loophole and take other steps to ensure that felons are not allowed to buy firearms. Running background checks on prospective gun purchasers is a practical way to ensure that guns do not fall into the wrong hands without unreasonably burdening citizens' 2nd amendment rights.

You can be sure that I will keep your thoughts in mind whenever firearms issues are considered by the Senate. I appreciate your letter. Your communications helps me serve you better.

Sincerely,
Senator Bill Nelson

P.S. From time to time, I compile electronic news briefs highlighting key issues and hot topics of particular importance to Floridians. If you'd like to receive these e-briefs, visit my Web site and sign up for them at http://billnelson.senate.gov/news/ebriefs.cfm
