Hi all,

Can someone do the math for me?

The DoA received my package on January 14th (according to USPS tracking of my certified mail). They cashed my check on February 12th. It cleared my account on the 15th.

1. What target date should i be looking at (approximately of course ) to receive my permit?

2. What date should I make my first phone inquiry about status?

Thanks to all you M.I.T. types who can figure this stuff out.

Every phone call just slows the process down. They can either work on the backlog or talk on the phone. If you get to 90 days then you may want to ask.

I mailed on the 12th. 55 days so far check cashed on the 11th feb so you should be able to decipher it from there as to which date ? you get 6 that will say from recieved date and 6 will say it the check cash date? the way i see it is we are over half way there. I tend to believe the recieved date.

A few months back I could say with confidence that you would be receiving your license (if all that you sent in was good and processable) the week of April 15th-April 20th. Your first call should be the 15th of April

Now its a [email protected] shoot.

I am on day 86. If I don't receive get my license this week or mid next week, I will call and report back with some useful information for the forum.

I don't think the person that is answering the telephone calls is the person that is processing the orders. Hence, I highly doubt if you call that you are holding up the process. It is someone's job to deal with the public. That is what that person does ALL day long.
