WOTD (watch of the day)

GW-5000-1JF (Japanese Domestic Market - only available in Japan)....

Solar - atomic... set and forget. Has a DLC-coated screw-down back.

Feels more "substantial" on the wrist than the standard "G-Shock Square." Also, rubber straps are super-soft and comfortable - not like the more traditional resin straps, which can be stiff. It has a much more luxurious feel to it than the typical "Square."

Interesting how they put a round case back on a square watch.

Well I didn’t see it was 200 meters WR. Now it makes sense.

Good to know.

This is what I’m accustomed to seeing on the case backs.

Yep... that's a typical modern G-Shock case back. WR 200M.

The screw back is a throwback to the original 5000 Square, apparently... and is now considered a "premium" feature. And, it costs triple (or more) than the regular "squares."

That's a very nice and clean looking watch. Which model is that one again? Love the analog face! (y) (y)
Yeah... forgot to post the model. Edited... but here it is: PRW-50Y-1ACR. The dial reminds me of an aircraft altimeter. White on black face. I love it.

47.2-mm, to be exact. Photos always make them look bigger on the wrist than they actually are or "wear." At this point in my "Casio evolution," this watch doesn't feel big at all. It wears very nicely / comfortably.

I might have to wear the Frogman on rifle day, just so you can see how big THAT one is. It's a beast! 53.3-mm! But, it still wears very comfortably. No doubt, I've acclimated to the bigger watches. At this point, the "squares" feel TINY by comparison!

You are right. Look at the pic I posted of the Hamilton. Just by the pic.... what size would you guess it is( don’t look it up!)?

I miss my bull bar version for sold a while back, should of kept it. Oh well, at least they are cheap enough to repurchase.

Hmmm... seems familiar.

Looks like we have the same taste in color way too. I also have the all black one.

Put mine on a metal bracelet. I was going to do the screen color mods on it but, just haven’t had the time.

Alright... I couldn't resist this... Blue Duro on sale (Amazon) for $44. Then got a "NATO" strap for $12. Here's my creation. What do you think?

The first NATO strap I've bought. I ordered it at the same time as the blue Duro. I thought, "That watch might look nice with a red, white, and blue strap!" First I tried to find a rubber strap with those colors. No luck. But, Barton had this one as a NATO.

Going for the patriotic theme!
