A new piece that will be my next review. Looks to be very interesting. Has some cool features. But, some of it maybe not so cool. :geek:

The negative LCD display is crazy good. I'll say that much for now.

I normally don’t care for negative LCD. Old eyes. But that one isn’t bad at all. (y)
This isn't your daddy's negative LCD. They call it "MIP" (memory in pixel). No clue what that means, YET. But, it's a whole new level. Readable from ANY angle, even in low light.

Try reading a traditional negative LCD from this angle in a room with only indirect window light coming in.

My G-Shock has the negative display and it sucks to read without the lume. That one there does not look like the display on mine at all.

That's 'cuz it's nothing like the "normal" negative LCD displays. It's completely different and 1000% better.

Today, in a dimly-lit restaurant... at an angle. Even my wife said she could read it from the other side of the table.

Try this with a traditional negative LCD! Just now, after sunset, in the back yard. Natural light, no backlight being used.

I hope they use that display moving forward.

They use it on a few other models, including the "RangeBeast" (GPR-1000) and other fitness-oriented watches like the GBD-H1000 and GBD-100. It's kind of a bridge between LCD and OLED screens. The advantage of this is that it isn't a battery killer. The downside is that it's not color. It seems they're trying to look like a "smart watch" without being a smart watch.
