While living in Pa. I worked at Ft. Indiantown Gap NG post. We had the live fire and bomb range for all the air op's for both army and air NG. We would work stand by (fire and EMS) when the range was hot. The A-10's would roll in and you could feel the earth vibrate 300yrds away when the vulcans opened up. THen the COBRA's would roll in with all there toy's going.
THe only time it got old was in the winter when a bomb would bounce of the range explode and start a mtn. fire. THen the shifts got extra long.
