While waiting for my concealed carry license, how can I legally "carry" at home and at work?

Example: Can I pocket carry at work and at home without a concealed carry license? Or must I keep it encased at all times (until my license arrives) (if so, must it be locked?

If no (to above) can I possess at work and at home following the "car" rules? (Accessible, not on my person, at least a zipper or lid limiting my access.)

Thanks for the interpretation of the law.

You can carry openly or concealed without a license in your home or place of business (assuming that you are either the proprietor of the business or are so authorized by your employer).

I would agree with Deadeye with one additional caveat.

If you're the business owner or have permission from your employer, you're fine at work.

BUT... you can't carry concealed from your car to work across public property (streets, sidewalks, probably shared parking lots/garages as well). So make sure you can park on a space owned by the business and don't need to cross public property or someone else's property to get to work with you carrying it concealed.

Granted, it may only be a few steps but you'd be in violation of the law in the same way someone in a condo or apartment can't carry concealed in the shared/public areas of the apartment/condo complex and parking lot.
