I was just wondering how long after they (DOA) signed for your letter,Did they cash your check/M.O.

I mailed mine 3/3/09
delivered:3/5/09

check still not cashed.
I mailed mine one day before you (March 2nd) and my check still hasn't been cashed either.

I mailed mine Dec 26 and check cleared Feb 3, so it seems to be around 4-5 weeks from recieving. I'm nearing 100 days and still no license.

I read somewhere on some forum that you can expect your license around 75 days of the check clearing, but no longer use that as a guide from what I've been seeing, although it's probably not TOO far off as a guide.

I know you didn't ask for the last two dates but I'm still excited about them so I just had to include them. :D

My time line is almost the same as yours. I mailed mine on 12/24, check was cashed 02/05 and I am still waiting on my license. I am going to call again in the morning and this time I am going to insist on speaking with a supervisor.

Talking with a supervisor is the best approach. If all of your paperwork looks good they will often issue it while you are on the phone.

If the person that answers the phone won't connect you to a supervisor then hang up and call back. Keep doing that until you do get connected.

I just got off the phone with DOA. Spoke to very pleasant young lady who told me that my application is still waiting to be looked at by supervisor. When I asked her to speak to a supervisor she turned from pleasant to defensive, asked if she hadn't answered my questions fully. I said yes but I want to speak to a supervisor and find out why the delay. She said well she just going to tell you the same thing that I told you. I said that's fine but I want to hear it from her. She then put me on hold and came back and said that she was not available. She took my number and advised me that she will give her a message to call me.

Why is it so difficult to speak with a supervisor for some and almost impossible for others?

Call back and ask for a supervisor.

When the person answered the phone I just said "I want to talk with a supervisor concerning my CCW permit". I was always transferred. If I asked the person on the phone for any information they were reluctant to transfer me.
