Welcome aboard! I believe the wait time can vary depending on the number of applicants, so there is no set time frame in which you can receive your license.

If you used the electronic fingerprint option, it will be quicker. In my case, it was around 6 weeks.

Welcome Flccnp. We're happy to have you on our forum. The first thing you should do is check your bank account and see if they cashed your check. The next step is to call them after 45 days. If you call them sooner they will say call back when it's 45 days. So many more people are applying for permits that it's taking longer now. However in the mean time get yourself a good holster and practice carrying at home. Check out this thread. Concealment Holsters

I sent a money order hoping it would be faster if they didn't have to wait for a check to clear.

I had heard good reviews on the comp-tac gear so I ordered a Minotaur MTAC Holster. Maybe if I start with a decent holster I can avoid the drawer full of unused ones?
