I have been lurking this site since receiving my CCW a couple months ago. Growing up a mountain hillbilly I received my first very small single shot 22 rifle from my Grandfather when I was eleven. Always stayed in the woods hunting or backpacking. Since moving to Florida in 1989 I have shot very rarely. Although I have always had a pistol close by mostly unloaded. With the way violent crime is up and the way of state laws I thought it was a good idea to get the CCW. I have learned a lot from this site already. I am not very good with my pistols but so far after maybe 700 plus rounds I am enjoying shooting like I once did (although it is taking time away from my fishing).
Sorry to be so long winded.

Welcome

Welcome Aboard!!!! Keep your :pistols loaded you never know when your going to need them.
locked and loaded

Oh Yeah! I carry my little S&W 38 special airweight constantly now. I recently purchased an SA XD40 sub-compact from someone that needed some quick cash and it had probably only been fired 50 or so rounds. I have not quite figured out how to carry it concealed comfortably yet. Guess the snubby will have to suffice until then.
I carry a PT 111 pro 9mm in a comp-tac pro undercover also looking at a crossbreed super tuck and one from raven concealment.

I've got the 4 inch version. I use an MTAC holster at 3 o'clock with a reinforced belt.
