I'm a grad student who has to park on campus, so, none :( :( :(
When I can carry, I usually just have one gun, 18+1 9mm's, and maybe an extra 10rd mag and belt knife.
But those are concealed on me, not "securely enclosed in the car"

Normally just the one I am wearing. Unless I'm on my way to the range.

My last range trip had the G21 I was wearing, the XD-40SC, the LCP, the AR, the AK and the FAL - felt like I was ready for anything that day. :grin

Uh, why not? Some kind of school policy? Cause it's perfectly legal.

Ummmm....I think he is referring to campus carry which is not legal.

Please elaborate on your statement that it is perfectly legal.

I don't leave the house without the .50 and the .380 PPK.

Oh wait, we're talking about in the car here, sorry.

Well, if it's on my person at all times it's in the vehicle right? :p

Zombies. Robbers. Makes no difference. No such thing has too heavily armed.

The OP asked about carry in one's car and Phoenix mentioned "securely enclosed in the car" (it's actually securely encased) so I assumed he meant he cannot keep a firearm securely encased in his car on university/college campus.

790.115(2)(a) generally prohibits carry of firearms on school property (including college/university), however it also has an exception that states (paraphrased): "a person may carry a firearm in a vehicle pursuant to s. 790.25(5)"

And the other relevant statute, 790.06(12), indicates the CWFL does not authorize one to carry into "any college or university facility", but a parking lot is not a facility.

So 790.06(12) does not apply and 790.115(2)(a)(3) specifically permits it.

Normally, I just have my gun on my hip, unless I'm going to the range, in which case, I bring a bunch of "toys" with me.
