Dark days ahead for everyone who thinks the constitution and bill of rights mean something.

My only hope is that enough people of all political stripes will resoundingly say NO to another Patriot Act aimed inward.

I wonder if our liberal troll is dancing in his living room over this fascist bullshit. He facilitated it..you'd think he'd be more sensitive over the Nazi tactics, but prolly not. The next liberal who is foolish enough to mention freedom of speech in my presence may get punched in the grocery hole. Jail won't be gettin no cherry from me.

I note that some here have always wanted to have me permanently banned for my posts which never advocated violence. People have approved the fact that this forum is privately owned and can control who comes in.
Now some are complaining about POTUS/POS being banned from Twitter.
Good for goose/good for turd!!!!!!

It's moreso the totality of the internet situation and talk of 'cleansing' insurrectionists, but if private businesses could do as they please, I have to believe at least 50% of them(talking brick and mortar here) would be open and not being forced to shutter their doors.

The thief always cries the loudest when he is robbed. Eventually what liberals are cheering for, because they hate Trump, will bite them in the ass. This go around isn’t the same simple crap we had with Obama.
Everybody is a target.

You are conveniently ignoring the SCALE of the issue.

Twitter stock fell 12% on Monday after banning Trump and that's about $5 Billion in market capitalization wiped out.
So, do the math. Plus, Twitter is a public company, not privately-owned, so your analogy fails there as well.

FCC has 13k users (with many, perhaps even most, of those being dormant accounts), and nowhere near the influence of Twitter.

I wonder if the folks who own FCC have Section 230 protections? Hum..?

Anyway, Freedom of Speech (ideally) should not depend on "scale", even though the loudest voices in the room are generally the ones which get heard.

My other thought, which I'll just throw out there...
For a bunch of democrats who just "won" an election, you think they would be a lot less nervous about it.
Why the rush to silence the opposition? Something to fear, perhaps?
Maybe the election steal wasn't as stealthy as it was supposed to be?

Again, I'm not in the camp that thinks it's a good idea to overthrow a Biden administration.
(Honestly, it will be so incompetent as to implode on its own if left along long enough.)

BUT -- I will always view Biden's presidency as illegitimate, unless and until we get to the bottom of these damn mail-in ballots (and other voting irregularities / shenanigans). And since I'm not alone in these views, Biden/Harris will very likely find it extremely difficult to govern at all, let along govern effectively. There will always be a pall over the Biden/Harris 2020 "win".

And all that assumes something truly ground-shaking doesn't happen in the next few weeks or so.
I see things as very uncertain right now.

I sure do not want to see you banned from anything, Just because we do not agree on everything (((ANYTHING))) It is your right to have your opinion.
If you look back a couple of years till now, you will find I always was against any type of censorship.
Censorship is the start of OPPRESION and I'm guessing the Socialist, communist Democrats that you like studied what the Nazi's did in the 30's.

Trump should build a data center, get some huge fiber optic trunks, start a hosting company, and make money taking all the clients that the fascists don't want to host (Parler, AR15.com, etc.).

A-ha!!! Gotcha.
So.... you admit that there was voter fraud in the Georgia runoff election?
Namely, that you voted in it.

:)

Fish, as you know, I never get worked up over how somebody else feels about an election.
I make my own assessments, and my view are my own (unless, as in this case, they just happen to be shared by 72 million other voters!) But your politics don't really matter to me all that much. I don't agree or understand the basis for a lot of left-wing / left-leaning thinking, but (like it or not), the sentiments of a single individual are statistically insignificant, whether that's you or me.
