Can anyone recommend competent gunsmiths in the Jacksonville, FL area?

About 2 years ago I used Mr. Green / Superior Gunsmithing here to install an Apex trigger kit on a Shield, but two emails to him over the last two weeks have gone unanswered, so I'm assuming no longer in business.

I'm not interested in cheap (though neither do I want to be taken to the cleaners); but want reputable and competent, and am willing to pay fair market for those qualities.

In advance, thanks for any recommendations.

touch base with Scott at On Target Sports (Wells Rd in Orange Park). He's a manager there and also one of the owners of Panther Concealment Holsters. He can put you on to someone for sure.

Wayne is a good guy.

There is also Island Gunsmithing on Amelia Island and Evlutionz in Yulee.

Youtube and do it yourself. Not hard and fun to do.
Unless he’s changing out the striker block (which he should). If he does that himself (I have) he’s going to need one hell of a stout rear sight pusher. They’re not bad on the Performance Center Shields with the Hi-Viz sights, but they’re very tight on standard Shields due to a “tab” that extends outward from both edges of the rear sight dovetail. I have no idea what their purpose is, and I have no idea how the “2.0” Shields are, because I’ve never worked on one of them.

I’ve always installed the Apex parts in several of my M&Ps myself without incident, but he’s got a Shield.
