Okay, we've run the gamut of cleaning. Now, what do you use on your gun as a rust preventative/lubricant?
Never heard that mentioned in anything I have read. I use TW-25B on the slides. Seems to hold up a bit better than CLP. Some people even use both if you have a tight fitting slide such as a Sig.Just a thought, but anybody every use graphite on their pistol slides?
I think that's mostly good for use in low temperature environments and in dusty conditions (e.g., the Middle East), where conventional oil-based lubricants tend to gum up.Just a thought, but anybody every use graphite on their pistol slides?
It's a heavy grease formulated for use in firearms (Rust Inhibiting Grease), used mostly for long-term storage. It's not the kind of stuff you want to put on your slide rails.Deadeye,
At the risk of being or sounding totally ignorant, what is Rig?
Just wanted to update that Botach shipped me the wrong product and will not make it right or even answer any of my three e-mails that I sent to correct the situation.Good luck with ordering from Botach. I've had less than stellar service from them, but sometimes you get lucky...
