Newbie from Winter Garden, located due west of Orlando at the Orange/Lake county line. I took the ccw class a few weeks ago at the fairgrounds gun show, (what a joke that was) scary how little training it takes to obtain a license. I picked up a glock 27 while I was there and now just waiting on my license, guess I'll keep it in my glove box for now. Anyhow just wanted to introduce myself and compliment you on a great site. Just consider your permit a "License to learn " I was not required to take the course at all due to prior military service ! I chose to take it to become more familiar with the laws regarding concealed carry ! Kevin

Welcome to the site. As far as the training is concerned, just think about how more difficult it would be to exercise the 2am if the government started making qualifications! lol
