On the way to the lease to do some 10-22 shooting. State trooper got me 9 over out in the middle of nowhere. I had a long gun in a case in the back seat of the truck & two loaded handguns. I know he saw the long gun & the handguns were in the top of an open bag. He never asked about them. Just gave me the ticket! He didn't ask & I didn't tell. I did mention that we were going shooting tho.

It's ok to have guns in your car and since you were going to shoot and had them in plain view and not in reach i guess you were ok in his mind.

Yeah, the open handguns were probably not a great idea, but there is no restriction against long guns in the car...any where, in any condition of readiness, securely encased or not.

Glad it went the way it did....could have gone another way.

Should have invited the Trooper to go with you. Maybe get out of a ticket, make a new friend, add another great member to Florida Concealed Carry and see how our finest shoot.
Oh well, maybe next time. Try and get pulled over more often!:rolf
