New member here. This is my first post and I'm glad I found this place. Got my license yesterday as a matter of fact and am happy the wait is over.

Just for comparison. I submitted my paperwork around August 20th and Got my license back yesterday which was October 29th. So it took about 68 days. I did the electronic fingerprints which supposedly speeds up the process a little bit and didn't have to take a class becuase of my military experience.

So now the big question is....I keep seeing this wally world walk. What exactly is that?

Looking forward to gaining some good knowledge from folks with conceal carry experience.

Congratulations!!

Somebody actually made a guys map and a gals map of what people are supposed to do. I can't find the one for the ladies. The object is to get the new CCW holder out there in a crowded place so they will internalize that people won't go, "look he has a gun!" People just don't see what you see bulging from your hip.

You spend an hour or so at Walmart, walking around, sitting down for nachos and just watch people walking by oblivious to the fact that you are carrying a weapon.

Why Walmart? Just because they tend to be crowded and have a corporate policy friendly to CCW. The corporate policy is they allow anybody to carry that meet the host state's laws. If you accidentally show, the corporate policy says they will ask you to cover back up. No harm, no foul.

Congratulations sergeantnic,

You will discover a lot of camaraderie here due to the many former/current military folks. Between guns and military you will not lack for conversation material for your posts.

Welcome aboard,
