anyone tried that saf-t-block for glocks? they say it adds zero time to the draw. kind of pricey though

I've never had to shoot in a stressful situation before but I can imagine this making things that more difficult. Currently I practice not touching the trigger until I want to shoot. I have a good holster and I sweep it before I reholster the gun.

Personally I think there are way to many safety features on handguns today. The Glock and M&P dont have any but the trigger. The XD that I handled had a grip safety..thats OK as I carry a 1911 but I have been known to pin the grip safety on it..Anything that might impede the draw and shoot to me is just another fine motor skill that will go away with the adrenaline pump when it comes crunch time. As I've said before even the thumb safety on the 1911 can be forgotten. The biggest safety factor is between the ears and you still have to use the bang finger for it go off. Why doesnt anyone complain about revolvers?? Because they are for the most part double action?? they have no safety, just the trigger. Everyone is afraid of the semi-auto and lack of safety features but I've handled semi auto's that had more trigger pull than a revolver.

One of the most important safely rules in gun handling is never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Something like the Glock saf-t-block actually forces you to put you finger behind the trigger as you draw your weapon. This seems to me like more of a saf-t-risk.
One of four things will happen with a saf-t block
The block pops out and you are ready to shoot
The block does not pop out and you have a very expensive hammer.
The Block pops out and have an AD
The block pops out but your finger gets stuck behind the trigger.
So you basically have a 25% chance that everything goes well and a 75% chance that it does not.
No safety block and your finger OFF the trigger eliminate most of the problems.
