Too many libtard yankees moving here. Miami and Orlando areas are controlling our state politics. I live in rural Citrus county , last week some POS yankee called cops because they saw a concealed holstered gun on a friend of mine. Fortunately, the responding deputies told her to pound sand. I'm lucky I live in a rural area, but the rest of thestate is going to sheet!
Again, Wilton Simpson is a FL Cracker. If you don't know what that is, look it up. The native born Floridians are as crooked and corrupt as those that move from elsewhere.

Senate President Wilton Simpson (R), the man that penned SB 7026, the 2018 Post Parkland Gun Control Bill is a long established Florida Cracker. He isn't a New Yorker, he's a Floridian.
Thank you! It is impossible to make these idiot so called good ole boys to even begin to see the real truth. I have told them to go look at the records of the Florida politicians and they will see most of the idiot anti gun and liberal walking DIC_S with ears are he so called Southern freedom fighters but nothing more than RINOs and crap for brains that are from here in Florida. I am sure they can find a Yankee to read the info for them if they are real nice. I have stressed that no matter how many Yankees are here there is still a majority of republicans registered in the state....... for now. That is going away not only because the influx of northerners moving here but also born in Florida...cheap tuition granted, brain washed college age voters ....THEY are NOT Yankees either...they are 2nd and 3rd and 4th generation ...none other than what?....Born and bred FLORIDIANS!

Get a real life!....That has happened in many areas of RURAL Florida also. RIght in Lake City not long ago it happened. It has happened in Levy co where my son lives outside of Bronson. Man now you are reaching to blame northern people.

Understood. But would these particular RINOs be getting elected if it were not for the infusion of liberal voters from elsewhere? I have my doubts.

(I say that as someone who moved here from Nebraska. But then, that was in 1982, so I've been here long enough to earn near-native status. Never mind the fact that I moved here with the understanding that I would change to adapt to Florida, and not expect Florida to change to adapt to ME!)

And I moved here in 1992 from Washington state as I saw the slime liberalism coming to the great NW. I married a woman from NY that had lived here since 1975 and we moved to NY (Finger lake area) in 2010 for 4 years to care for her mother going thru cancer. We moved back here in 2014 and never looked back.I live in a 55+ community and the majority of the northern born residents are the conservatives in the community...we were the ones with Trump flags and Kat flags. The native Floridians that live here make up the majority of the liberal voters....not the Yankees as they like you and I moved here to escape the socialism crap....not to make this state the same as what we left behind.

Well, if you’re basing your opinion on that map; us Florida natives have been outnumbered by the damnyankees in those three counties for quite a few years now.

Umm... Yeah. I live in Pasco county. I am literally surrounded by liberal, anti-gun, New York transplants. They live in the houses on either side of me, and the one immediately behind me (across the street is a natural area). I realize that a lot of the liberal voters are not northern transplants, but I am also quite sure that a lot of them ARE!

Just received in the mail my CCW from your state with now residing in NJ

NJ has the worst for gun laws, that is why I applied for a Fla CCW to hopefully move out of here to Fla

Take a look at what our NJ governers agenda is on guns! announced today. We here now have the battle to win also.

Thursday morning, Gov. Phil Murphy held a press conference to unveil yet another gun control package in the Garden State. Every time he reverts back to the same playbook, it is nothing more than an admission that years of gun control have been a failure. But because he has no real ideas about how to enhance public safety, the Governor doubles down on more of the same failed laws.
The Governor has proposed and supported the introduction of legislation which includes:
  • Reworking the Firearms Identification Card system (FID) to include mandatory firearms safety course completion to even those who own firearms.
  • Legislation which would require mandatory storage. Gun owners would be forced to store their firearms under lock and key in safes, rendering them useless in self-defense situations.
  • Raising the age to 21 for FID card issuance for long guns and completely stripping an entire class of legal adults of their constitutional rights.
  • Microstamping. This legislation would require all new semi-automatic handguns to be equipped with microstamping technology, a costly technology which is unproven and easily circumvented. This is nothing more than a traditional handgun ban.
  • Forced market acceptance of “smart guns” by mandating that gun shops sell them. Again, this is nothing more than an attempt to ban traditional handguns.
  • A .50 Caliber ban. This is a firearm that weighs about 30 lbs., costs thousands of dollars and is rarely, if ever used as a crime gun. This is the proverbial solution in search of a problem and constitutes political pandering at its worst.
  • Electronic registering of all ammunition sales.
  • Registering of firearms brought into the state by residents relocating to New Jersey. Ironically, under Murphy’s reign, most moving vans are pointed in the opposite direction.
There were other issues which were discussed, but these are a sample of the drastic steps the Governor is proposing. With each step he is inching toward his goal of completely banning the Second Amendment in New Jersey.
New Jersey has some of the toughest gun laws in the country and has for decades. Despite these laws, cities like Paterson, Camden, Newark and Trenton are some of the most violent cities in the country. This is evidence that none of these laws have been successful. New Jersey gun laws are an epic failure and so is Gov. Phil Murphy. NRA and its New Jersey members are adamantly opposed to these proposals, and we will fight them every step of the way in Trenton.

Made me laugh, too. According to these data, the DPRofNJ had the highest outbound moves of ANY state in 2020, with 70% outbound, and DPRofNJ has held that position for at least the last 3 years!

According to the source, the top outbound states (with 250 moves or more) of 2020 were:
  1. New Jersey
  2. New York
  3. Illinois
  4. Connecticut
  5. California
  6. Kansas
  7. North Dakota
  8. Massachusetts
  9. Ohio
  10. Maryland
The top inbound states (with 250 moves or more) of 2020 were:
  1. Idaho
  2. South Carolina
  3. Oregon
  4. South Dakota
  5. Arizona
  6. North Carolina
  7. Tennessee
  8. Alabama
  9. Florida
  10. Arkansas

Notice any trends?

I know I’d be moving to Idaho if I had to leave Florida. That’d be my choice. Of course my native Floridian skin would not appreciate the winters. 🥶

My first choice would be to return to Texas, but Idaho or Montana would be next on my list and like you, even my Irish roots still would seriously hate the winter months!🤠

Change can only come when good people stand up and run for elected office. Primary a few of these clowns and watch how quickly they'll change some of their ways. Even if it's a BS campaign, scare the hell out of them.
