FYI Mamabear, NICS = National Instant Criminal Background Check System, which is run by the FBI.Do state police and federal NICS perform a background check? I missed this one as well as the other one you all are talking about. I wasn't sure what NICS stood for but it didn't look like the FBI letters I was told when Tallahassee told me they sent my fingerprints to the FBI. That is my reasoning on that one.
