Equipment:
- L.A.S.R. software
- Glock 27
- LaserLyte LT-Pre (laser shot indicator)
- White Hat Holster MaxTuck (IWB)

Wearing an untucked t-shirt. Using the "scoop draw." Random start. 1 shot for each repetition (six repetitions). Shots were taken at "3/4 hip" point shooting. Distance was 4 yards.

The saved image obscured the first and second draws at 1.53 seconds and 1.42 seconds respectively.

My best time was 1.18 seconds. Not bad, eh? :) Worst was 1.79 seconds.

Cool!
Damn sure fun :2thumsup

I play that and then multiples at 180 degrees of sight for quick target acquisition(can't use the program for that). Then I go back to the program and put the target behind me and wait for the beep.

Tonight was the first time I've tried this with my EDC set-up (G27 and IWB holster).

Racer,
From the hits, it appears you're making great use of the nose index when body and arm indexing the 3/4 hip position. :thumsup

If I may suggest, based on having watched you shoot for two days, push it for speed and ignoring the hits once in awhile. Remember the drills I ran commanding "faster" repeatedly? You were capable of more speed when you pushed it on autopilot. The 1.18 is very respectable sir and shows the speed you have "on tap". From the other times posted, we know you're capable of reducing your times and keeping the hits COM physically.

It appears this device/system of yours is giving some great feedback and training time with your carry gun. Can't ask for more than that while you're having fun at the same time. :thumsup

Thanks, Brownie. I'll keep working on it (and work on the speed). Yeah... this gizmo is pretty cool! I couldn't do any of this at my local square indoor range. One of these days, I'll get back out to Okeechobee (1 hour 15 min drive) and rent a private bay to practice this with live fire. But, in the mean time, I can't imagine a better way to practice and MEASURE progress / results. I'll have to buy a shot timer for when I go to live fire.

My Laserlyte training cartridge just arrived and already have the web camera. Next procurement is the L.A.S.R. package. Before long I should be in bidness! :grin

Looking forward to hearing what you think of it.

My SIRT pistol just crapped out on me. The trigger break... is broken. It's all "take-up" now. My google-fu has revealed that this is a fairly common problem. I've sent an email to customer support at Next Level Training (the makers of the SIRT). Waiting for a response.

I hear ya...

The firing pin broke in my hk usp. That pistol has about 30-40 k live fire through it and I don't know how many hours of dry fire. Wore out one laserlite cartridge that I know had 3 battery changes. Pistol still shot with a broke firing pin. The only way I knew it broke is the firing pin block fell out .

Up and running again.:thumsup

I suspect I'll have to send the SIRT back to the manufacturer. But, I can still use my real pistols with the LaserLyte insert. I'll just have to reset the trigger for each shot, which is a PITA. Ah.... 1st world "problems," eh? ;)

Very nice, Racer. 1.5 from concealed to first shot is the bellwether that most go by.
Thanks. Not bad, I guess, for my first time to ever measure my draw from concealed to 1st shot.
