Have to have the barrel threaded, usually to 1/2x28, buy the can, get it registered, pay the 200.00 tax stamp and wait about 6 months to pick it up after the feds get the paperwork back to the place you bought it.

Subsonic ammo works in the pistols very well with short barrels as on my P22 Walther 3.4". Out of a rifle with subsonic, it should be fairly quiet depending on the quality of can you buy.

Small price to pay if you want to play IMO. :rolf

At least you can still legally own one. The 200.00 is nothing compared to the cost of the can. Mine run 650-850.00 a piece, so the 200.00 is incidental.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone make a drop-in suppressed barrel?
You can buy integral can barrels for the 10/22. It's so quiet, all you hear is the bolt clacking as you shoot it. Don't ask me how I know :thumsup
