Been 55 days since I mailed in the application (11-24-08). Looked online and my check was cashed on the 8th of Jan. So now we sit and wait..... I cant wait till I can carry, its getting old having to leave it in the car. In my class I took everyone was shocked when over 400 people showed up for the class that was slotted for only 100.... We ( me, my wife and a friend) where there from 7am till almost 8pm that night... So its been a waiting process from the very beginning..:doh
However on a side note......My neighbor hasn't even taken the class yet... so I know he will wait allot longer than I have....:rolf

Thanks for your time line. Seems like DOa is about 2 weeks behind in cashing checks since yours took 6 weeks to get it cashed. It looks like the DOA is still processing licenses with in a average of 90 days. Unless they need additional information, Looks like your half way there.

DAMN ! There was a full classroom when I took mine- about 20 people and we were all done in under 3 hours.

Only 2 people (myself included) in the class that I took, but then again the range I chose in Orlando does two classes per day.

I sent my application in September 24th and am still waiting.
I have called numerous times and they just put my info into the system late December, called back Jan 10th or so and they said it will still be another 30-45 days. Ouch.
On hold with FDA right now to ask for a super.

With all this additional revenue generated, you would think that the state could afford to hire a few more processors.

I along with 3 million other people could use additional part-time work.

Its day 82 now. I am trying to be patient. Since I sent it in I have bought 3 holsters and who knows how many bullets...... My wife sent hers in the same day and she is not worried about it...I think she does that just to get to me.

Day 56 for me but the check was just cashed on 02/05/2009 so I don't know which day to start counting from. Check cashing day or application mailed day. I try not to even think about it much. When it comes it'll come I guess. Besides, I've been traveling to northern Alabama for work the last month every week so I haven't had time to think about it. I work out of my house normally but I have a couple of employees who aren't working and playing well with others lately so I've had to go and work on-site and "supervise" them like babies. Now that I am back home I guess I'll just find something else to entertain myself.
