Day 111 And Rejected

2905 Views 23 Replies 16 Participants Last post by  00Buck
Called in today and got through after 50 minutes on hold - after 20 redials. The agent who answered said my app was rejected for prints. They were electronic prints from the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.

Doesn't it seem wrong that the Sheriff's Office can accept them and the DoAg won't?

So I guess I go back to the same place that did the electronic prints the first time and try again. And start the 90 day clock again.

My wife sat on hold listening to the stupid tape loop for 50 minutes and then her cellphone battery crapped out. Never even got through to them.

Not a fun day for us. :smack (I'm the one on the right - the DoAg is doing the smacking). : censored

111 days and you got rejected? I think I'd be on the phone to the Governor's office.
do over

I would hope that the clock doesn't start over. It seems they should have a seperate que for "reject/repair".

I got my license because my mom and an older close friend wanted to get theirs.
My older friend submitted on the first of February (five months). He called yesterday. The state rejected his application and he needs to get new prints and resend. They said it would take two months once they received the new prints. They would not let him talk with a supervisor. My friend is upset and angry. He doesn't really care for the government. I can see why.

Just think: they want to put these same folks in charge of health care. :ak

Actually, I'm sitting in a hospital right now. My wife had emergency surgery Monday night and is waiting to go home. It's the only reason I have the time to call and sit on hold for an hour on a weekday. She's on hold with the DoAg now, going on one hour. Her application was rejected 3 weeks ago for not coloring in one bubble on the form. She mailed it to the supervisor directly and we're trying to see if that gets you a shorter wait.

The electronic print issue sounds like something you might want to ask the Governor's office about. His website has a direct link and the staff is usually pretty quick about getting something done. Give it a try.

Scary Government. They think they own us! I hope your wife is OK and getting better!:)
They would not let him talk with a supervisor. /QUOTE] You need to call 1-850-245-5665 Ask for Susan Herill, Make a complaint :thumsup
If you talk to a supervisor they will issue the license themselves. Marion Webb told me to give it a day or two after submitting new prints for them to get through everything, then call and it should be issued. Give that a try! I think saying the 90 days starts over is a stupid CYA thing by the DoA, in case they screw up.
When they answer just ask for a supervisor by name - when i called back thats what i did and got through. Good luck.
My card was also rejected the first time. "Can't read them". Never mind they were done by a guy who does bookings for the SO. :smack But I did not have to wait another 90 days.

Keep your chin up and quick recovery for your wife.

Hey, Bob,

Hope Mrs. L is doing good and back home soon.
If you need something, I am 15 minutes away (assuming your at HRMC, or Wuesthoff).
Hey, Bob,

If you need something, I am 15 minutes away (assuming your at HRMC, or Wuesthoff).
Thanks, man. That's very nice of you. We were in HRMC. Basically, this all started Sunday night around bedtime and first thing Monday morning we went to our regular doc, who spent about 15 seconds with her and said, "go the Emergency Room at Holmes". Surgery was about 9 on Monday night.

She got to come home yesterday, and is feeling better just to be here. Our cat was getting all flustered about only seeing me here. There are certain things she (the cat) expects only my wife can do, and didn't trust me to do right.

Anyway, the interesting part was my wife called about her permit while waiting for the doc to come send her home. Her application was bounced around the first of the month for not filling in a bubble on her form. We emailed Marla Sweet who was very helpful, sent us the form; we did our part and mailed back around 6/7. My wife got Marla on the phone who said, "I remember your case. I have your corrected application here on my desk, I'll make sure it gets issued today":dancingbanana

Then I spoke with Marla on the phone and she said I could get the prints taken care of, electronically submitted, and then make sure I talk with her and she'll do the same for me. So it might be only a week or two later for me.

Glad the Mrs. is home, and on the mend.
That stuff can be sudden and scary.

And congrats on the CWFLs-for Mrs. L and soon for you.
BOBL:

If you got your prints taken at sarno station was your issue the duplicate right thumb print?

every time they print a copy of the electric prints the bottom duplicate print of the right thumb only prints half of the thumbprint. This however is not present on the computer copy, just the printed copy due to their printer/printer prog. There is absolutely nothing to worry about because one, the bottom right thumb print is just a duplicate of right thumb print in the upper left part of the card; and two, the laser printed fingerprint card is just a copy of the electronic prints that is sent to the DOA to be electronically analyzed through the computerized copy; and three, this copy of the electronic prints is mainly used as a receipt..

If this is the reason, you should tell DOA and the sheriff's office because it has NOT been an issue for MANY people...
I don't know exactly why it was bounced. They said it was bounced during the FBI check, for what that's worth. Ms. Sweet told me they had mailed my rejection letter on 6/29. It did not get here by Friday, 7/3. That's about all I know.

Thanks for pointing that out. I had not heard of this problem before.

My wife has been waiting for 6 months and 2 weeks WTF?
Once they start on you app. they have your permitt # already Just a fact weather it gets rejected or not the # stays the same PS to OP they should have notified you witin 90 days that you prints been rejected JMO Hang in there Y/D

Sounds like you should call. Something happened, like it fell behind a desk, or the mail to you got lost. I think the only people who have taken that long knew by 100 days or so that it would be delayed. I think 6 months and not hearing anything is wrong.

This is horrible:thumbsdwn. I just sent my app off 6/27. I am hoping they master the art of processing these soon so mine doesn't take that long. I am tired of leaving my pistol in the car! I should have taken the advice from others and submitted the moment I knew I was getting stationed in Florida!
I submitted mine late January possibly even early February, I called around mid-May thinking I would just check on the status...turns out mine was rejected/on hold because I didn't give them enough monies :rolf.

Apparently, I had miscalculated somwhere along the line and sent the check for five dollars short. Let me see, carry the 4 divide by the ampersand multiple the sum of the variable by 74.792...yup, five dollars short.

That was in mid may mind you...the lady said the rejection letter was sent out two days prior to my call.

I finally got the letter mid-June and sent the new money order out and had my license in hand two weeks later.

I was completely expecting the whole 90 process to start over again, but was relieved when it didn't.

*throw this in there though...the lady on the phone said that it wouldn't take the full 90 days because my prints had come back clean (which seems to be what they had an issue with yours??).
