Dayum….. always wanted one of those. The “Specialist” (although others hate the pict rail on it) is also on my wish list.

Beautiful pieces Roger! Are they new to you or have you had them for a while?

This is a pair of the Dan Wesson ECP’s. Thought it would be nice to talk about something non-political and non-argumentative. As many of you know I have more than one 1911. I’ve spent decades looking for the correct carry pistol. I have carried blocks, shadow system, sigsauer, Colts and about everything else you can imagine. I always keep coming back to the 1911.

The Dan Wesson ECP is a great compromise between a garden-variety 1911 and a high end Wilson combat, Nighthawk or Ed Brown. In a panther IWB poster it’s a lot more comfortable to carry than most anything and with the Corbon 185+P loads, I think it will get the job done under any circumstance. The top one is 9 mm and the bottom is in gods caliber. Of course I carry an extra magazine and given what’s going on in the world today I carry in the house, outside the house and anytime that I am out of the shower.

For high capacity I like the staccato 2011 but for comfort of carry I feel like these guys are just right. Caleb, i’ve had them for a little while and have just put them in the rotation. There’s just something about the comfort level involved with carrying a 1911.

Now wait just a minute bra...no way those things are as pretty as my Glocks... 😜

Now that’s one gun that I’d love to have some day. I’d send it to Taran Tactical and get the John Wick package done to it.

Beautiful guns Shark. Good luck with those sir. (y)

No way, Wikipedia says they are much prettier than Glocks. What statute makes the Glock prettier? They are objectively prettier according to many subjective interpretations.

My history of carry would be charted as 1911, S&W, 1911, Glock, 1911,Kahr, 1911, Sig., 1911, CZ, 1911, Springfield, 1911,Beretta, 1911,FN, 1911,Shadow Systems, 1911

Looks like a common pattern, eh?

Mine was S&W J-frame, Glock36, Glock 21SF, 1911,1911,1911 and sometimes the Glock 21SF, 1911 and I see a pattern. The winner is 1911!

Thanks, I had a DW Guardian years back with bobtail I didn’t like and gave it away. These just feel different, maybe the VZ grips or something.I thought the 9mm might make practice cheaper. They have gold dot front sight I may replace.

Not a fan of VZ grips, tried to like 'em and I lived right next door to 'em. Oh well.

I'd like to have my Colt XSE Combat Commander get a bobtail treatment.

I have a couple of 1911s with gold dot front sights. I much prefer them to fiberoptic sights; as they don’t “grow” due ro my astigmatisms. The gold dot glows nicely in any ambient light conditions and is easy for me to pick up; should I want to use the sights.
