May I suggest that you clean up the CWP Timeslines thread. There are currently 603 posts over 16 pages. I suggest you obviously keep the list that Steve48 has so graciously accepted the challenge of updating, but remove all the other threads that have a completed timeline. For example if someone has added all the info from the time they applied for the license, until the time it has been delivered, then delete it. It must be a huge task for Steve48 to search over 600 individual posts, to look for any updated information. If the only posts kept on that thread were uncompleted timelines, then it would be easier for Steve48 to keep track of them. As it stands he has to look at each thread and skip over the ones that have already received their license.

Thanks, Glock. It's been awhile since I carefully combed through all the posts looking for updates. I do watch the entire forum closely for new timeline related posts, but it would also be nice to be able to spot edits in the timeline thread.

With applicants using the field offices only taking about a week now is the list still needed?

That's a good idea Glock but I'm considering leaving it for the sake of history. It should be good to look back on it and see how it used to be when you had to wait for what seemed like a lifetime for your CWL. What do you think?

Well, your the boss so to speak, so its your call. Personally, I think that the list that Steve48 keeps updating shows the date that the app was sent, date it was received and the total days that it took to get the license. So that in and of itself shows the history of the wait times. you can easily scroll down the list and see the time it took to receive the license. Myself, I dont like searching through countless pages (606 posts now and growing) to find out who may still be waiting. The thread is certainly popular with 40,312 current views. Maybe I am the only one who thinks its difficult to search through all of it.

As far as the new process goes, I still have a feeling that people will continue to use the "mail in" process vs making an appointment.

To sum it up though, again, its your call, it was just a thought.

Point taken,

Glock, start a new thread with the info about the new process for obtaining the CWL. It can then be updated with all the local offices once they become operative. I will then make it a sticky so it can be seen by all new members seeking their CWL.

How about locking the existing thread so that it doesn't just keep growing?

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
