Applied at DOACS North Port RO last Monday 11/20, checked the status this afternoon, license issued today 11/22, that's impressive! Hopefully by next week I'll have it in the mail.

Since this was your first post to FCC, now would be a good time to also go back and post you're own Introduction thread to FCC so the members get to know you. You can do that by going to the Introduce Yourself section of The Front Office and start your very own introduction thread. Then you'll find that lots of other FCC members will know to chime in to properly welcome you to the forum, too!
I applied at the dept of agriculture bldg in Orlando in the 1st of Dec, was issued yesterday and put in the mail today...plus I was in the Vet express lane...
Mine must be held up. Applied at courthouse in Clearwater on 12/11 and it still says processing. I'm prior mil with a ts security clearance and current ff/emt.
For Christmas I got a voucher to take my CCW class from my wife. Signed up for Saturday morning 12-31. Made appointment already with Dept of Agriculture in a few weeks to do the rest. Provided I pass the course I will keep you all posted as to the timeliness. So, decided to do it and take the plunge, if things go right I will be a CCWer in a little over a month.
Well, I did it. I had my appointment with Dept of Ag today, application is in as of 1-12-2018. Will edit and update post as info comes in. Have heard with a direct application with them such as this the timeline right now can be as soon as 5-7BD.
Checked my application status and it was issued on 1/16/2018. Says up to 15 days for it to arrive, we will see, the wait is on.
We took a little mini vacation and when I got back on Tuesday night, permit was in the mailbox. So could have arrived as early as 1/20 or 8 days after submitting my application, but more likely arrived on 1/23 or 1/24. In any event I have it, they were quick, and I carried outside my property for first time today, as I plan too as often as possible now.

Thank you, its a good feeling. What is nice is that I have been researching, learning, watching videos, listening to podcasts such as concealedcarry.com for quite a while now (not to mention joining and interacting on this wonderful site) so when I actually did start carrying it was not that unnatural of a feeling for me. I had been carrying around house for some time to get used too it. Since receiving my permit, with the exception of work, I have been carrying ever since. I have been going to the range a few times a month, and now I need to start doing more drills at home and also paying for some training. If anyone has any suggestions on good concealed carry classes around Tampa area for persons where you can practice the whole nine yards and the price is reasonable I would appreciate any leads.
FYI for new folks who might have mailed in with ink prints. I applied that way on 12/28/17. Just saw my license was issued yesterday 2/13/18. Quite a little wait. (I have no background check things that would have delayed the process).

Applied 3/14 @ Merritt Island - Brevard County Tax Collector Office
License was issued on 03/19/2018. Please allow up to 15 business days for your license to be printed and mailed.
I applied at the regional agricultural department in ft Walton beach on 3/15/18. Nothing yet. No issues with background or anything to worry about. Some of you guys are getting them fast. Are any of you military or veteran? I know they are expediting those apps right now.
