I saw this conspicuously posted in my local Pizza Hut carry-out location today.

Here is the text from the Florida Statutes (emphasis added):

The 2008 Florida Statutes

Title XXXIII
REGULATION OF TRADE, COMMERCE, INVESTMENTS, AND SOLICITATIONS Chapter 509
LODGING AND FOOD SERVICE ESTABLISHMENTS; MEMBERSHIP CAMPGROUNDS View Entire Chapter

509.101 Establishment rules; posting of notice; food service inspection report; maintenance of guest register; mobile food dispensing vehicle registry.--

(1) Any operator of a public lodging establishment or a public food service establishment may establish reasonable rules and regulations for the management of the establishment and its guests and employees; and each guest or employee staying, sojourning, eating, or employed in the establishment shall conform to and abide by such rules and regulations so long as the guest or employee remains in or at the establishment. Such rules and regulations shall be deemed to be a special contract between the operator and each guest or employee using the services or facilities of the operator. Such rules and regulations shall control the liabilities, responsibilities, and obligations of all parties. Any rules or regulations established pursuant to this section shall be printed in the English language and posted in a prominent place within such public lodging establishment or public food service establishment. In addition, any operator of a public food service establishment shall maintain the latest food service inspection report or a duplicate copy on premises and shall make it available to the public upon request.

I'm wondering if this law could give any legal weight to a posted 'No Guns' sign. Thoughts?

HMMMM, I dont know DED, but I have refused to eat at Pizza Hut ever since they fired that delivery driver for shooting that BG that tried to rob him. All i have ever done is just look at that place on my way to other restaurants to eat.
I hope they keep going till they put themselves out of business.

Nope, and they can put their sign and their employee policies where the sun don't shine.

I'm with others, when you fire someone who is defending himself while doing the job you hired him to do, you don't deserve my money.

I am in agreement with SuperTrkrE2812. I never gone back to PH since the firing. Economics is the only strength we have against big companies. Bye the way PH has the same parent company as KFC and Taco Bell - not sure if they have the same policies or if all these stores are franchised?

I have started making my own. It's not rocket science. that way i get to make what everybody wants..... especially me:thumsup
I use 5 different cheeses, Mozzarella, Aziago, Cheddar, Swiss, Provolone, extra pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage, bacon, ham, bell peppers, onion, all with double tomato sauce.
I call it the "HEART STOPPER":rolf

But man is it good.

I am voting with my wallet.
I refuse to give a company that will take away someone's 2nd amendment rights to protect themselves.

As others have said, Nope. Just says that the proprietor can make 'rules'.

No delivery service that I know of allows drivers to carry. I carried when I worked for Domino's, but that was 25 years ago, and it wasn't a corporate store (owner's encouraged carry, and carried in the stores).

My wife makes our pizza. Picks up the dough from Publix then does the rest herself. Better tasting than the PH/PJ/D stuff and you can make it anyway you want. Not extra charge for extra ingredients.

I haven't been doing this but I think I'm going to adopt a policy to not support businesses that don't support my views on 2A.

I think their "legal advisors" just have them shirk responsibility for any law suits a delivery or store employee defending himself might trigger.

Funny, if an employer had a policy that precluded any other constitutional right, the left would be screaming about it! Wonder how an employee, legally carrying EXCEPT at work because of the company "policy" would make out if injured by a robber and claimed he would have been safe were it not for the prohibition of his constitutional right to self defense.

One of the worst multiple murders that occurred at Dominoes Pizza here was in 1988:
These are somewhat graphic and reader discretion is advised. These were local victims and it still bothers me a great deal.

From the court files:
They drank at a bar in Vero Beach and then headed back to
the motel (R 1104). Appellant advised that on the way back, the
two decided to stop at the Domino's "to rob the place, we needed
money" (R 1104 - 1105), According to Appellant the store was
almost closed: 'I ... we started to return to the car and the man
opened the door and told us to come on in ... We both pulled our
guns and told them we wanted money.. .I' (R 1105). Appellant claimed
that after being advised of the safe's time delay, he kept the
white male near the safe and Wyatt took the white female and
"Puerto Rican" male into the back room out of his sight (R 1105).
He and the white male remained near the safe until it opened (R
1105). Prior to this, Appellant could not see or hear anything in
the back expect for some moaning sounds (R 1106). After obtaining
the money he called to Wyatt, who came to the front and took the
white male to the back in order to "lock all of them in the closet"
(R 1105 - 1106). Appellant said that he tried to see from the
front where Wyatt was putting the people but that they were out of
his line of sight (R 1106).
As soon as Wyatt got to the back of the stare with the white
male and disappeared, Appellant heard 3 - 4 quick pistol shots (R
1107). Wyatt came running out and the two men fled in the Cadillac
(R 1107). Appellant asked Wyatt if he had shot anyone and Wyatt
responded 'yes." At that point in the interview, Appellant stated
"I never had no idea he was going to shoot nobody." (R 1107).
According to Appellant, he and Wyatt were drunk during the incident
(R 1108 - 1109).
