I had a wonderful conversation with the husband of my kids' writing teacher today. Long story short he was commiserating with me about my dh job loss and one thing led to another. Not sure how we ended up about the state of America and losing some of our rights so I thought I'd throw it out there about a *certain* right not exactly naming which one but it was enough that he heard what I was saying.
He went on to say he has been around guns his entire life and yada yada and one thing led to another. I asked him if he had his license and he said yes. He showed me his license and I showed him mine and then I asked him if he was carrying. He said something about having a .22 but didn't say he was carrying. I told him I was. He perked up as if he was surprised. I asked him if he wanted to see it and before he answered I pulled out my LCP and he marveled at how very much like the Kel-Tec it looked. We admired it and I put it right back in my holster. Then we had that understanding, knowing smile.
He also said that his church was not one that someone would want to attack. They have many men who carry concealed and even had an emergency plan in place should something happen.
We've known each other for years but this is the very first time conversation has turned to guns. And I've never flashed anyone before so that was kind of different as well.
