I was wondering what everybody's oppinion was on concealed carry at a Fair or Carnival, since in constitutes a large gathering of people, beer tents, and possible school, or church grounds near by. Thanks, SS140Bob

If it's on school grounds, that pretty much ends any debate right there.

As JT said if it's on school grounds then don't do it. However if it's not just consider it like Disney World. You can carry without running afoul of the law.

We went to the Jacksonville fair this year and there were indeed metal detectors at the entrance we used. There was also a very large sign stating no weapons allowed. There was a JSO officer there giving me the once over as I read the sign and explained to my family to wait for me while I returned to the car to disarm.
