I often use the insert image icon (not the paperclip) but I tend to copy/paste or drag and drop.In all cases I click the "insert image (Ctrl+P)" icon. Then choose either upload image or By URL
In the random thread when I post using "upload image" from my computer the pic shows in my edit screen then posts the small icon and numbers.
Posting the same in there and here.

The Boiler Room requires login to view. The image issue should be resolved very soon.Posts fine here, not so much in the boiler room.
I did notice recently that when I "follow" a thread, I do see the "eye" mentioned by cricket. But I have to follow it literally. "Following" does not appear to be "automatic" when replying to or creating a "discussion" (Can't call them "threads" anymore). So, I will have to go back now and "follow" the threads in which I participated. Perhaps there is a setting to "autofollow" to a thread you created or in which you participated?Just below the title of the thread is a second line with time, date, and so forth. The little eye is at the right end of that line.
I posted it, and that is what I see too.
This is a known bug with the private sections that should be resolved very soon.I posted it, and that is what I see too.

Got it. Now, I just have to go back and follow some of the older threads of which I want to keep track. There is an auto-follow preference.
Step One: Check your preference settings by clicking on your account settings under your avatar near the upper right-hand side of the community.

That will bring you to a new page with some left-side navigation. Select preferences.

Step 2: Make sure you have a checkmark in "Automatically watch content you interact with" and then click save.

I have passed on your feedback to the team regarding the participated indicator. In the past any thread that you had posted in would show with a very prominent green indicator at the left of the thread title. This was very handy for easily spotting threads you had previously posted in that have new posts.
In the new software the only thing I see is a tiny little eyeball icon to the right of the thread title. This makes it difficult to easily find spot threads you've participated in previously.
I did find that in "New Posts" you can filter to show only the discussions that you've participated in, but this is a poor substitute. First, it's an extra step. Second, I want to see all the new posts, even ones in topics I have not previously participated in, but I want it to be easy to spot the ones I've posted in because it is more likely that whatever is new there will be of interest.
Something more prominent than the little eyeball icon would be nice.
Thank you for the reply.I have passed on your feedback to the team regarding the participated indicator.
This may help in the meantime.

I think they are are working on this. How many times do I have to disable push notifications before that popup will stop popping up after I log in? I have them disabled in my profile, and every time it pops up I select "Never". Still no joy.
The developers started out with a very basic text editor. One of the issues with font colors is making sure they can be viewed in the dark and the light mode. Are font choices and text colors not supported in the new forum? In the old forum many of us used different colors, different fonts, and different text sizes to enhance clarity of our posts. In the new forum, we seem to only have Bold, Italicized, underlined, and lists with bullets or numbers as the only options to format text.
Works for me, thanks! The developers started out with a very basic text editor. One of the issues with font colors is making sure they can be viewed in the dark and the light mode.
For now, some folks are using BBcode for more options.
