How do you folks stand on practice 9mm? I use 115 gr ball for practice and 115 gr HPs for carry. I know some folks who carry 124 gr ball for practice and the lighter 115 gr HPs for carry.

I used to primarily use 115-gr (FMJ) for range practice... and still would / will if the price is significantly lower. Otherwise I now like 124-gr FMJ for practice... often at the same price. Figure it's better to practice with a load similar to my carry ammo.

For carry: 124-gr HP (Federal HST).

I carry 115 gr HP ammo; so I load 115 gr ball for practice ammo; they’re not powder puff loads, either.

But at EBL’s last class, I shot Winchester 115 gr ball.
The only ammo problem we had all day with it was one round Paula had where the case mouth was rolled down some on one side (apparently) when the bullet was seated.
