How many of you carry at work?

I carry everyday all day!:pistols
Nobody knows, but nobody would care.
They will be happy I do if something goes down.

Carry every day...all day...long as the place is legal with it (schools, etc.)
We all do here.
Never carry at work.
I'm brand new at my job right now, so I leave it in the car, I don't even secure it in my locker. Besides, the management supplies our locker locks so they can access them (company property is all we are supposed to store in there anyway) so it would not be secure.
I'm not ready financially to challenge the companies no weapons policy, so I leave it in the car.

I wish I could carry there, or afford a small pocket sized pistol, but for a variety of reasons, I'm down to one firearm, and all the lifting and bending I do all day long there is no way it would be able to stay concealed for long.
I always subscribe to the rule of 'My house my rules' even if I don't like it. The Man says no guns, it's his house, and I can't change jobs right now even if I wanted to.

My job often takes me from the swamps to a board room to a courthouse, so I usually leave it in the car while at work. Swamps yes (openly there actually), board room and courthouse no.
Can't, we have a policy against having weapons at work. Although they issue us all box cutters - go figure. :aarg
all day every day
I am not supposed to carry at my work, but I do keep my baton with me.
I leave it in the truck. I could bring it in the office (and have a few times) but I'm pretty sure my boss and fellow workers would freak if they found out. It's kinda funny but during our lay-offs the CEO told the other leadership team members that we can't fire Tim, he's got a gun! I'm not completely defenseless while away from the truck--I always have a knife.
My leg warmer goes everywhere with me.

Residential homes, attics, rooftops, under the house (once), corporate offices, industrial/commericial, churches, in the sweat, rain, and dirt..

and that is where I work :laughing
I carry at work and all day as long as I'm in a legal place.

But I'm an independent consultant and work out of a home office so I set my own rules.

I'm assuming hunting or fishing? If not, what exception to the blanket open carry provision are you depending on to legalize the open carry of a firearm?

The provision that I am the only one out there ;) There aren't too many people where I go, I have actually never encountered anyone in 16 years out in the woolly-boogers where I go, once a biologist, but I knew he was going to be there for the project I was working on locating wetlands. If I think I'm going to be within a mile of any civilized life, I will put it back under cover. Hunters can't even get to where I go, so I'm not worried about them either, you have to actually cut to everywhere I go with a machete, not good for hunting anything that has ears.
PF9 in my pocket as we speak. My boss insisted that I carry everywhere it's legal and I obediently oblige.

I carry my glock like is my wedding ring... and its by my side when ever I need it... but at work I'm an un-armed security officer and I dont have a G lic but I do keep it locked in my jeep... I wish they can change the law where you can carry at work, cuz the way I look at it, its your life or your job which would you pick?

I always wondered how that worked with a CCW carrier who is an unarmed security guard ... Do they check you?
I love florida!
Thanks guys for your work carry stories!:D

I hope some idiot with a CWP does not mess it up for the rest of us.
By taking gun out of car or something and shooting everyone at work.:thumbsdwn
There are crazies out there!:ak
We do hear some questions regarding carry at work. I suggest we think about the idea do we want to be involved in a shooting at work? It that a good place to have a shooting? If we do not want to be involved in a shooting at work then do not carry at work. True, maybe we will take a round someday. I just suggest that we think beyond the obvious.

Interesting viewpoint. Hopefully no one here ever wants to be involved in a shooting, at work or anywhere else. Hopefully we all understand that we should only shoot if the alternative is a likelihood of dying or being seriously injured (or the same for another innocent person). I think I'd take being involved in a shooting at work over dying.
