Anyone know if there are any problems carry at the Prime Osborn Convention Center.

I'm going to the Jax Home and Patio Show tomorrow and I plan to carry but I'm not sure if they have anything against it.

I would appreciate any info.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THE PRIME OSBORN CONVENTION CENTER:

* Large bags (larger than 8½” x 11”), backpacks or boxes
* Food or beverage (with the exception of those having a food allergy)
* Cans, bottles, coolers or other similar containers
* Video cameras or audio recorders
* Laser pens or laser products
* Noise making devices (horns, whistles etc.)
* Projectiles (including Frisbees and beach balls)
* Oversized signs (larger than 2' x 3')
* Stickers of any kind
* Skateboards, skates (roller or in-line), or scooters
* Sticks or poles
* Knives, guns, chains or clubs
* Illegal substances
* Fireworks or any other incendiary device
* Umbrellas
* Weapons of any kind or any item that can be construed as a weapon
* Any other item deemed unacceptable by the Prime Osborn Convention Center management

Center management reserves the right to make the final determination on prohibited items. The Prime Osborn Convention Center is NOT responsible for items left behind, lost, stolen, or damaged. Possession of prohibited items will be grounds for ejection from the arena.

Sounds like local rules though, not state.

As with other such rules/signs, you're not violating any law, but they can give you the boot if they discover you carrying.

I've never seen any searches when I attended in the past. I don't like the area around the Prime Osborne so I'm going armed. Worse comes to worse I'll just leave.

I'm curious though if the rules are posted at the site or just on the link trulies posted (thanks). I can always claim I haven't seen the website rules.

I don't like the area either. You could park at the King St. Garage in San Marco (feels a bit safer) and take the Automated Skyway Express to the show. Hey, someone's got to ride that thing.

BTW, not too far from there, there was a shooting near McCoy's creek yesterday at about noon.
