I'm scheduled to attend my first formal training class this Tuesday.
It is the NRA Basic Pistol Class, it is being held at Trusted Armament in
Jupiter.

This will be the first of many training classes I plan on taking to get as
much knowledge as I can. Being a BASIC class I am sure it will probably cover
all aspects of a pistol, Something I'm sure I can use.

Does anybody have any knowledge of Trusted Armament, what can I expect?

Thanks,

Paul

The class was very informative, it reinforced a lot of the things I had already been doing (gun safety). The area that I feel I benefitted most was the fundamentals of pistol shooting. This corrected some things in my stance, and grip, which helped me to acheive better shot groups on the targets.

Now I must make time to go to the range weekly to practice, to reinforce what I have learned.

I look forward to taking additional classes, more advanced and tactical shooting, in the future.

Congrats on your decision. I've recently made the same commitment, to start learning and keep training. I hadn't been viewing this forum for long before I realized how very much I needed to improve my skills and competencies.

I wish more people made this commitment. I wish I'd made this decision 20 years ago.

Perruone,

It's a bit of a drive for you, but the class in March at this link will give you a big leg up in skills to survive on the streets if you can make it. If you have the basics of gun handling and range safety under your belt, you are "good to go" in this class.
