Can't remember where I first saw this site (maybe even here) but it has good info. IF you are wondering how barrel length might effect your SD rounds. The initial page is 9MM but links to the other major calibers are given at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for sharing.

I have been looking for such information for a long time.

It confirms what I always thought:

1. For a .357/.38 going ffrom a 2" to a 3" barrel makes a big diffeence; remember that energy is proportional to velocity squared, so an increase of 20% in velocity increases the energy by about 40%.

2. My G-26 (9mm) with a G-19 barrel has more energy than a G-27 (.40).
