Greg Covington posted on Facebook that Bowie legend Bill Bagwell passed away. I know we have talked that Bagwell was slowing production down.

Brownie brought his Bagwell to one of the H2H classes and it was a working work of art. Fast and light but you could tell it was strong. I believe that knife is with Live2Wheel now.

It’s a shame that a master of his craft has passed. Prayers for his family.

One of the greats has passed. Not only was a he a mastersmith of the highest order, many people don't know he was a long blade trainer to US special Forces units for many years. Sad day for the knife world.

It's an honor to own one of his damascus Belles and have had the benefit of his considerable knowledge in two of Keatings Riddle of Steel events in LR, Ar. and New Orleans.

RIP Bill, condolences to your wife.

I remember being in awe over that Bagwell at one of Brownie's H2H-Edged Weapon courses. (y)(y)

RIP Me. Bagwell!

Sad to hear. True craftsmen take so many years to become top in their trade, then time is short.

Yep I do still own Browine's Bagwell. It has been a honor to own and wield. Just performing drills with it, I learned so much because of its reactions to my inputs. I can honestly say it taught me to be a better bladesman because of the thought that went into in the making of perfectly balanced fighting blade.
Bill Bagwell is a true craftsman that built perfection through experience.
Thank you .

Wow, I never heard of Mr. Bagwell but he made some terrific knives in his time I would be honored to own one.
His blades have jumped in price since his passing, as expected. Fond memories of training with him at two Riddle of Steel venues with Jim Keating of Combat Technologies.
