I sent mine in the mail almost 5 weeks ago. My boss' wife sent hers about 6 weeks ago and got hers a few days ago. I cannot get a hold of the office by phone to save my life. (no pun intended ;) ) I've tried a few times. Everytime their overloaded to the point where its busy or the music and voicemail just plays. Someone answered once after nearly an hour being on the phone (speaker phone) and the lady acted as if she couldn't hear me at least I think she did, said hello 2 or 3 times. I took it off speakerphone so that wouldn't be the reason for that. Very disheartening for that reason. I don't have any thing on my record or anything. I'm just wondering if this is an option I have to cancel my mail sent one and just pay an extra 117.00 just to get it a little earlier. I hear the average is 7 days after appointment. I could very well wait another month for all I know if I wait for this thing to go through from the mail.

It's my understanding that every time you call they move your application to the bottom of the stack :aarg (just kiddin)
I think thats everyones fear who has ever waited and called in for a status update. I think it would be much easier if we could check our status over the internet. I mean it is 2009 and you would think if people knew something was wrong on their application they would be notified faster and could make whatever changes need be. Thus further speeding up the " "backup" ".

I've noticed a number of posts here which indicate the processing time for the paper apps has come way down (50 or so days). You're at about 35 now, so I'd save the extra $117 and use it for something else.

Just my .02. And congrats to the wife!
