Hmmm...it looks like they've changed their design considerably since I've last looked at them. They used to look like particularly ugly copies of the Crossbreed Supertuck. Granted, the Supertuck isn't as fine looking as custom leather, but it's very utilitarian looks just fine to me. The old Kholster was very clearly based on the Supertuck. Incidentally (or not), they're also based in the same state as Crossbreed.

I would much rather stick with my Crossbreed. The new leather backing design on the Kholster models can't be comfortable at all. I find it curious that they changed their design so soon after coming out.

There is no way you can get a full combat grip on the gun with that type of design..Thats why Crossbreed also offers a combat style cutout on theirs. I have the full size Supertuck and actually cut my own down in order to have better access and draw speed.

I have a Kholster so I'm not speaking from what I read on a forum. It's extreamly comfortable and has good retension. Dispite what people who have never had one say, the draw is not hindered by the extra leather. Think about it, what's the differance between putting you're thumb between your belly and weapon or leather and weapon? After you get it adjusted to where you like it you could trim it if desired.
