Anyone ever ordered a gun?

Has anyone here ever ordered a gun from an online store? I was goofing around over the weekend checking out "ballpark prices" on my next purchase and came across an online store called "Buds" or something like that. They do "transfer" shipping to local stores.
Prices seem pretty reasonable, and some cases better than some local stores.

Just curious.
Thanks!

I came close to ordering from Bud's when I gought my Taurus 9mm. Price was very good, but when I added in the transfer fees I found it for a little less at a local shop...Fees can run from $25-40 depending on the FFL dealer you use on your end...:drinks
Bud's has a good reputation. Your local dealer though may cost as much as $40.00 for a transfer since he is loosing business. Its an unfortunate system.
find a place that charges $20-25 if you can.........
I have ordered a few through http://www.galleryofguns.com/ . They give you options of what dealer you would like to purchase through. If you do your home work you might just come up with a deal. They also have a great warranty program.
I've ordered from a couple of places. Add the cost of the gun, his shipping fees, your FFL's transfer fees, and taxes if applicable. If it's still better than a local purchase, go for it. Find a good FFL. My FFL doesn't mind doing transfers, but some get a bit of an attitude.

Thats kind of what I was seeing as well. Most of the local dealers, in my area, dont seem to move as many weapons as say Buds or one of the larger dealers that attend the state gun shows. Hence their prices seem to be anywhere from 50 to 150 buks more on the guns I have been shopping for.

Thanks for the input!
I purchased my last gun from Bud's. Great prices & great service. :thumsup I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them in the future.
It never worked out cheaper for me after the fee, tax & backround check.
Most local dealers you can deal with a little. And for the transfer remember $5 of it goes to the state.
Bud's

Have ordered several times and numerous items from them, firearm was as described, other items were as well, had one problem with a used Glock mag and customer service was great, they give you a list of FFL's in your area and allow you to choose one or have your own fax them a copy of their paperwork.....all in all very good to deal with ....John
Bud's is top notch. You can buy with confidence. Just compare to local costs with the transfer and shipping fees and see how the numbers work out. If it is real close, it's nice to give a local shop that tries to be competitive the business when possible.
Find pawnshop most in my area are 25 fee , and it dont make your local dealer unhappy with you when you go in for ammo or rigs

oh and yes buds is grat to work with.
I ordered a gun once.
