Well, I shot my Canik Rival at today’s IDPA practice.
We had five stages, which I shot all “zero down” without using the sights (except for two head shots on the last stage).

The last stage had two BGs partially hidden by a non-threat, and the shooting position was laying flat on your weak side (sideways to “down range”). Range was 10 yards.

So: I decided to visit my LGS to look for a slightly more carryable Canik model.
I found the size that I wanted, perfect trigger pull and reset; but not quite the finish I was looking for, After a bit of cogitation, I decided that “well, no one’s going to see it unless I have to draw it, and then, probably the only person seeing it’ll be the bad guy” (and he won’t be seeing it long).

Now, without further adieu, here’s a definite first for y’all today; the Canik METE SFT Signature Series Miami Nights:

It’s actually quite striking “in person!” 😜🤣

That is a colorful gun! Congrats on the pickup!
Thank’s Bro; that was sure a more civil response than I was expecting to see! 🤣

It came with two mags; an 18 rounder and an extended 20 rounder for a reload, plus most all the tools, holster and “stuff” that came with the Rival.

I kinda like it, except for the pink...
Hey; it's a Miami Vice Model; you just can’t pull that off without any pink! 👍

They have a “Miami Days” one too; the black parts are white on that one…

Oh I will at next week’s IDPA practice, and I’m sure to hear about it!

I appreciate the proper positioning of the pinkies in your pic, too! 👍

Well, it gave me pause; but then I decided I was enough of a “manly man” to pull it off. 🤣
Back in my F-14 Tomcat flight test engineering days, my wife bought me a "Anytime Baby" F-14 Tomcat polo shirt. . .IN PINK! Of course, I wore it to work and my CO, an A-7E Corsair Vietnam Combat pilot that had by then transitioned into the F/A-18 Hornet before becoming an F/A-18 Test Pilot (the F-14 vs F/A-18 communities were VERY parochial), says to me, "nice pink shirt, Greg!" I replied, I don't have any problem with my masculinity, sir! Do you?" 🤣 He just smiled and walked on, but never, ever tried to shame me for wearing that pink polo shirt ever again! 🤣😂🤣

Unfortunately Don never got involved on my board but PMT did a brief intro for us when the board had an additional domain name of .info. I still have it posted on the home page.
