I agree with you. I remember decades ago I said “look at these prices, my God! If hamburgers ever get to a dollar, I’ll quit eating them”You’re already desperate and will cave……muhahahahaha
If you’re waiting for 9mm to be $200 and .45 to be $250 like it was in 2019 you may be waiting forever.
Storm clouds of WWIII are on the horizon. Closest we’ve been since the Cuban Missile crisis. People are once again like toilet paper starting to hoard it. Might be more than you wanna pay but stock up before we are sitting around a campfire eating iguanas on sticks.
It plateaued for a while. But, I'm seeing it creep down again... a penny at a time.Have not seen any other threads on ammo prices. In general they seem to have come down and stabilized somewhat, with more ammo available than has been in several years. As noted earlier I picked up some 38 special from SGAmmo at below what the usual prices have been. Today I took a gamble on some Federal HST boxes from a company I found on AmmoSeek. I had never heard of them but a few checks around the web says they are legitimate. I have not swapped out my carry ammo in almost two years, so what I have in my mags is due for a shootin and some fresh rounds loaded up. I could dig into my stores of the stuff, but why do that instead of buy some more??

Federal Premium Ammunition - 40 S&W - 180 Grain HST Hollow Point - 50 Rounds - Nickel Plated Brass Case
Wholesale Ammunitionmiwallcorp.com
Pre-pandemic pricing on 180grain. Also got several boxes of Remington 9mm and one box of S&B 380acp.
Just as a follow up on my post: This was a company I was not familiar with, so wanted to let people know that my order did arrive today. Unpacked, inspected. They had competitive prices on ball ammo, and pre-covid pricing on my carry ammo referenced above. I think if I recall correctly that my taxes and shipping on entire order plus one box of 50 carry ammo was about the same price as one box of carry ammo before taxes and shipping on other sites.Have not seen any other threads on ammo prices. I did business with them recently. Maybe they're running a little "behind" when in comes to fulfilling orders (and by that, I mean only 2-3 business days), but they do ship and they did respond to my shipping inquiry, albeit by phone message. Still, the product came through just fine. I'll do business with them again.Just as a follow up on my post: This was a company I was not familiar with, so wanted to let people know that my order did arrive today. Unpacked, inspected. Let that **** stack up on shelves and in warehouses.Supply has increased big time. You can tell by the numerous emails I get daily from several vendors. All it takes is folks not to get too antsy and buy right now. Lower the demand and the prices will continue to come down.
I'm not. The laws of economics are quite well known and understood.I was surprised at the Sebring gun show last weekend at the price drops.
Well, for those thinking of getting ammo or other 'prepper' supplies please do it before December 3rd. The reason is unless Congress gets involved we will start a one week countdown to the railroad strike. They have to stop transporting chemicals and other material starting a week before the trains stop. Amtrak will stop four days before December 10th. Four unions have rejected the latest offer and will walk off at 12:01AM 12/10. If one union strikes the other 11 will honor it.I'm not. The laws of economics are quite well known and understood.
