purchase and it was right before the last presidential election. The boxes of .22 were all less than $20 each and I do not think it will go that low again. I forget how much the .22 mags were, but not near what they are now.

Did we ever get a datapoint on ammo prices since the whole Ukraine invasion?
Tonight, I got an email blast from SGAmmo.com and it claims (for Tul-Ammo)
Which, you know, I would never use steel case ammo in my handguns myself, but the claim is interesting?
"Limited supplies remain, no more shipments of this ammo are expected given recent sanctions. I know Russia is highly unpopular these days and with good cause, but Tulammo and Barnaul did supply 30% of the 9mm FMJ range ammo as well as 223 Rem. When existing stockpiles are sold out the consumer will feel the squeeze that puts on supply from other sources with availability shortages and higher prices"

Yeah, I'm not in the market for more ammo - but was just curious if this Ukraine invasion will extend the high price curve, or not.
Since I never personally buy Russian ammo anyway, I don't have a good foundation upon which to formulate an opinion either way.
But is ammo like oil?
A drop missing here is felt elsewhere.

I got some .357 and .44 ammo from TargetSports the other day that was moderately priced. With the prime discount and free shipping on six boxes of ammo it worked out pretty decent.

Glad to hear that you got an ok deal. If you need some by all means buy some. What I was saying is the price is not quite down to the point I would restock yet. When primers get back down to 30$ a 1000 then I would be ready to buy, I realize that may never happen I have enough to wait 3 years.

If youāre waiting for 9mm to be $200 and .45 to be $250 like it was in 2019 you may be waiting forever.
