I joined the forum yesterday and today I wanted to read the threads in "All Things Politics." Asked for my password (pw) which I entered and then told me the pw was not correct. Checked to make sure my firewall is allowing cookies, and it is. What am I doing wrong?

I used Windows XP and Mozilla Firefox. ( Verified that firefox is allowing cookies, also.)

The short version is that many come to the forum for CC info...not everyone wants to get into political discussions.

By requiring a password to be entered, you need to WANT to be in the political section...... that said, if you ask to go in there, you can't complain about the content.

The only reason I posted it in the open is because others had posted it openly before.

Had it not been posted openly before, I would not have done so now. :thumsup

I believe the reason that there is a password on there is not to keep people out. I believe that if you do not put the password in and then try to search for new posts, the ones in the politics forum will not show up. This way if you choose not to partake, then you dont have to have the things come up on your screen. If you put the password in and then search new posts it will bring up any new politics posts.

There is no p/w for the buy&sell thread..You must have 10 posts before you can place something in that thread..As for the politic thread, I also have a problem..Turn your cookie setting to accept all, log out of the forum and then go directly to the political thread, w/out logging in, and enter your p/w..It works for me this way...Don't know why..:drinks
