Ok, here's the deal, we're actually moving this weekend. Address change notifications and forwarding starts tomorrow.

I know I have a set number of days to change my address on my FL CWP. Given the current backlog, has anyone had to change their address recently? How long does THAT take? If I haven't received my new permit by the given timeframe, I think it's 30 days, isn't it? Am I still legal to carry?

Thanks

790.06(8) requires you to notify the Division of Licensing in writing within 30 days after your address changes. You may continue to carry your current license. If, however, you would like a revised license reflecting the new address, please submit $15 paid by check or money order made payable to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and a 'passport-type' color photograph with your written notification.

Ok, great. Thanks. I guess that'll teach me to NOT go to the statute. I didn't realize it was that specific in how to handle this. Once in awhile Florida does a pretty decent job wording their laws. :thumsup

Thanks again.

FWIW, I notified them of an address change and carried the old lic for 3 years... They said NBD, so I didn't worry.
