I went to the gun shop to day and picked up some 380 for my wife. When I came home and read the box it states 9mm browning court / 380 auto. I've never heard of a 9mm browning court? Is there a difference between 9mm browning and 9mm luger. I know a 380 is a shortened 9mm but could you use these in a 9mm luger? I'm not planning on it in my 9mm. I just want to make sure it's the right ammo for the 380.

.380 ACP and 9mm Markarov are within .030 Dia of each other. Lengths are different for Markarov/Luger

Sorry I was in a hurry;

9x19 = 9mm parabellum, 9mm Luger
9x18 = 9mm Makarov, 9mm Ultra
9x17 = .380acp, 9mm Browning Short, 9mm Kurz

9x18 Makarov's bullet diameter is 0.363" rather than the "regular" 9mm/.380 diameter of 0.355, so I guess if you were meaning the .380ACP vs a "regular" 9mm (9x19) the diameter is the same, but the length is different.

Yes you bought the right ammo for your wife's 380... NO, don't use it in your 9mm Luger chambered gun
