Yeouch.

If I remember correctly, from back when I played paintball, a typical paintball is about .68 caliber and flies around 250-300fps, depending on the established rules.

Half-inch hunk of metal flying at you in between the speed of a paintball and a round of 230-gr .45 ACP. That ain't no toy.

The website says it's an impact of 192 ft-lbs at 567 fps.

The energy of a 380 Federal Hydra-Shock is 200 ft-lbs, so this is virtually the same. The Federal 380 is faster - 1000 fps, but the 380 bullet weighs much less. There are Federal 38 special rounds that have the same range of impact energy. A 25 auto round, which is standard "mouse gun" ammo, has 1/3 of the energy.

All of these are self-defense rounds, or have been used as such. Does it require an FFL to buy or sell these? Can you have it shipped to your house? Website doesn't seem to say it does.

Dang, these laws make you nuts some times.
