Just had a 72 made Belgian Browning P-35 come into the shop. I've bought and sold so many of these over the years it's finally time to actually keep one that's all original, made when Browning made superb handguns particularly.

It's not collector grade, it's got some wear on the slide, and I did take note of light surface rust under the left grip panel which has been taken care of this morning upon bringing it home. Has the original box, 2 factory 13 rd mags, and 2 aftermarket Mec-Gar mags [ one 13 the other 20 rds ].

Sorta stole it on price, that's why it's here and not at the shop today. 48 year old workhorse. At one time 72 Nato countries carried it as a national defense sidearm. Glad to have this real Browning [ unlike the later models not made in Belgium ] tucked neatly into the safe.

Nice score! Normally, I say pics or it didn't happen, but in your case, I'm certain it did! However, adding some gun porn to this thread might be nice! 🤠

I will be doing after pics. The gun is being milled for Novak Tritium night sights. All the new Cylinder and slide parts. Trigger, slide stop, ambi safety. Mag safety removal. And then done in tough kote two tone.

That’s very nice! I think I almost bought that one from you several years ago, but I was wanting more of a shooter, and I’ve found that with really nice older guns; I can’t seem to make myself carry and shoot them much.

I’m still looking for a P-35 shooter.

I could not carry or shoot more than two mag's out of something with that much history, I didn't buy it it was left to me. It is just taking up space in my safe that is why I wanted to sell it. But I have given up almost on that, it is in great shape for a war 2 gun.

Very nice, it looks like the two of you gents made a good score.

It was one of the original high capacity pistols indeed. Quick story, a close friend of mine was in a bad shoot out. They were serving a warrant and his partner got shot through the front door. This was when the department carried wheel guns.

My friend shot out all his ammo. Since he was a passenger in the car, his partner had the car keys and he had to smash out the passenger window to get the box of ammo out of the glove box. They both survived and the bad guy did not.

The next day my friend bought a brand new browning high-power.
